Accessible Spiral Ramp Building Concept
After learning the term "people of determination" I was inspired to create a design with this in mind. "People or individuals of determination" refers to those who need access to public spaces like beaches, buildings, and other spaces and are in wheelchair or other mode of self transportation due to varying life circumstances.
This building has a spiral ramp that surrounds the building and circulation core. The concept was to allow access to the top of the structure though the outside, while having enclosed spaces in the center with elevators and stairs. The end point of the ramp is a view point where people can gather and have a great view of the surroundings.
